Cialis FAQ
What is Cialis?
Cialis is a medication that is designed to treat a condition called erectile dysfunction, or ED, which is something that many men suffer from. The drug is made by the pharmaceutical giant Ali Lilly & Co. This medication is taken by mouth and has been clinically proven to help men that suffer from ED to achieve and maintain an erection when they are sexually stimulated.
How does it work?
An erection is achieved when blood flows into the penis and remains trapped there temporarily. The pressure that is created in the chambers of the penis causes the penis to expand and become harder. However, the process does not take place properly for those that suffer from ED. With Cialis, blood flow to the penis is increased when the man is sexually stimulated, which enables him to achieve and maintain an erection until they have finished having intercourse.
Are there any serious side effects?
The most common side effects that come from taking Cialis are relatively mild and common ones, many of which only last for a matter of hours. Some of the possible side effects include runny nose, headaches, flushing and indigestion. These should all subside within a matter of hours. Some people may also suffer from back pain or muscle aches, which can come on a day or two after taking the medication. These side effects can last for a couple of days. There have been rare reports of men experiencing vision or hearing problems after taking the drug, and if this happens medical assistance should be sought. In the unlikely event of an erection lasting more than four hours immediate medical assistance should also be sought.
Can all men take Cialis?
Cialis is a drug that will not be suited to everyone. Anyone that is on other medication or suffers a long term illness is strongly advised to check with their doctor before taking the drug in case of contraindications.
